YES EQUALITY
In 2015, I was approached by Transgender Equality Network Ireland (TENI) to assist in developing their campaign for a Yes vote in the Irish Marriage Equality Referendum. The goal was to highlight the importance of marriage equality for Transgender people, who at that time, would have been legally forced to divorce in order to change their gender status.
To visually represent this crucial message, I took TENI’s 'T' logo and expanded its motif to emphasize Yes EqualiTy. The design focused on creating a clear, inclusive visual identity that underscored the need for equality for Transgender individuals within the marriage equality movement. By highlighting the inclusion of Transgender voices, the campaign worked to ensure that Transgender people had the legal recognition and rights they deserved, not just within marriage, but within society as a whole.
