Well Hello!
I'm Kevin and I'm a Graphic Designer from Dublin, Ireland.
Since the Pandemic changed how we work, I make a point to get out of the house everyday and cycle around the city. Every day I see things that could be improved. Signage, branding, advertising, typography, even bus stops! My brain is wired to make things that are functional. beautiful and efficient. There's always that section of your CV where you're supposed to share what you like to do outside of work and I often find myself writing 'designing' because I just love to design and make things as beautiful and clean as possible.
No more so is this drive to improve more evident than in my passion for public transport branding, information design and mapping. I often use my own initiative to explain new transport proposals, improve published maps and other elements of a public transport; like a REALLY ugly bus stop. My prowess for transport design has gained me notoriety in local, national and international media as well as commendation from internationally acclaimed public transport planners and map makers.
Professionally, I've worked in all the different parts of the design world. I've done in-house, I've done agency, I've done in-house agency. I've even worked at the very end of the design process at the printers. I've designed for brands like Dalata Hotel Group, Spar, Eurospar, PepsiCo, Clyde & Co., Adidas, Bank of Ireland, Woodies and EY. I also took a brief sojourn to the Department of Transport, where I was the Social Media Coordinator, Designer and Communications Assistant to Minister Eamon Ryan T.D. Despite being a designer all Amy working life, the improvements I made on in social media output were impressive, with triple digit increases in engagement.
I'm a big nerd and proud queer person. I love watching RuPaul's Drag Race and attending drag performances. I like to stay fit, by cycling as my primary mode of transport and lifting weights in the gym. I adore travel and am working towards marking off every country in Europe with my partner. Before moving onto the world! I'm also attempting to teach myself Japanese.
I hope you enjoy looking through my work and if you want to get in contact so we talk shop, drop me a note below.
Cheers,
K
